Kenmore ultra wash dishwasher not washing
I have an ultra wash dishwasher kenmore... only 1 yrs old... detergent and heat dry not working... I had a tech out and said it was an f7 error... He said thermostat and heating unit are fine... he punched in a code and it worked. One week later it is not working again... any ideas of a code or any other ideas? Thank you in advance!

F7 on most Kenmore appliances is the control board. The touch button contacts get some corrosion on them. If you feel capable, remove the door, lift off the panel and cover and see if you can polish the contacts. Was this under warranty?

Last week when the tech was here was the last day of the warranty... called Sears and I have to pay for any service and parts... (of course) Thank you for the answer...

That is most likely a Whirlpool. Go to You Tube and search for "F7 error code on Whirlpool Dishwasher". Also check same for Kenmore. You may find an answer. I would also argue since they were "repairing it" under warranty and didn't work, maybe they'll come back free.

Yes... you would think that they would come back out for free but they said no... that is why I don't want to go through Sears which has been horrible to deal with... I will check out you tube thank you

Sears lost my business a long time ago because of their sorry maintenance for their products! Most dishwashers need to be unplugged for--say 3-5 minutes and it will reset itself after you plug it back in. Let it finish the cycle that is currently running. Once that ends, it should be ready to use. It should have reset itself. (you can also Google the type of DW and the brand--you will be surprised what you can learn.) Then there is also you tube.
