To Begin with our home was built in the 70's without Exhaust Fans for Kitchen / Bathroom.. Fall / Winter when Condensation is a Bigger Problem in the Bathroom , in the past condensation would pool on the window sill / boarder and if we don't wipe it down it would run down the wall..

The Window is an Insert / Crank Style with a 3" deep window Sill / Boarder on the inside.. We put plastic up this year along the outer edge of the sill / boarder, there is a very small amount of condensation that still pools at the bottom of the window frame.. My Query is , where does the condensation go if it doesn't pool beyond the window frame (where window closes against frame)?? Cheers Thanks

Condensation occurs when warm, humid air comes in contact with a cold surface (your single pane window).

See this web site for a shrink fit plastic and cover the entire window in the winter months. The kit will trap air between the window and the plastic to provide additional insulation thus reducing condensation.

The Insert is a Double Pane , I do have the Shrink Wrap Plastic kit on the Window.. My Query is wondering where the Condensation is running off to? Prior to Putting the Plastic Up the Conedensation would Pool right to the outer edge of the Window Sill on the Inside.. With the Plastic there is very little pooling just on the window frame , stopping where the W/F meets the inside frame when you crank it shut..

My Query is wondering where the Condensation is running off to? It doesn't run off anywhere, it just doesn't condense since the air temp hasn't reached the Dew Point. Air is the insulator, not the plastic cover.

Sounds like the condensation is forming there, not running there. Normally you do not have condensation with double pane windows. Certainly should not have condensation with a piece of plastic over it.

Sounds like you have an air leak from the outside in that area. Suggest that you (as a way of locating the leak) try temporarily taping between all surfaces. After locating air leak you can probably seal with clear silicone.

Thanks for The Comeback.. Further Scrutiny , running an eye along the bottom of the window where it latches onto the inside frame (where bug screen sits) it's not level and the bottom latch seems to be not seated properly.. Beauty.. lol.. We do plan on replacing in the Spring.. Cheers Thanks..
