    Calium bits in water
I live in an apartment building and it seems I am the only one having the issues of calcium bits coming through my facet only in the kitchen and blocking the screen. Is there something I can do to get the calcium deposit (thinking it is a deposit) and bits breaking up, blocking the screen. I have 2 or 3 a day, they switched out the screen, but still happening. Thanks for your help.

As a tenant there is nothing YOU should do except remove the strainer and flush the faucet yourself, and keep reporting the problem if it persists, until your landlord properly cleans his pipes, or installs a water softener. Odd it's just your one faucet.

How long have you lived there?

You don't need the filter screen.

I live in a high mineral area and am wall to wall minerals. It's just not a big deal and won't hurt you.

Could possibly small pieces of PVC from the dip tube in the How Water heater. Talk to maintenance and show them the pieces.

I have lived here for about 4 years now. The building was built back in the later 70's. Like I said this is so odd, it is only my unit on the 2nd floor, they said no one else have had issues with this.

It is calcium, the management seen it and said it was calcium. I also read through out the site that calcium can float or cant (cant remember which, I was tired) and it did break up in my fingers. It was funny that a few of the pieces were like flakes and there were 2 that were really hard, but did have the same color as the ones I took out before them. Thank you

Please tell us the brand and the model number of your faucet, it looks like you have debris in your faucet, I would suggest to remove the cartridge or cartridges if you have two handle faucet and flush out the debris out, if you have question how to do it come back, Thanks.
