Jambalya ( On The Bayou) By Hank Williams Sr. I, like you, am not sure on the spelling of the word mashadamio... but it looks right enough to me, even if it 's not spelled right. I use to sit and listen to that song all the time when I was little. It's from the '50's. I hope this helps.

The actual lyric is "Tonight I am going to meet mon cher d'amio." That is French for "my girlfriend". And, it is definitely Jambalya by Hank Williams. Do yourself a favour and give Ol Hank a listen. He is the inspiration for my internet moniker.
