I have a kenmore dishwasher that will not run. It fills with water and then sits. None of the cycles do anything. I have reset it by shutting the breaker off for a minute, didn't work. I have cleaned the inside of the dishwasher including the filter, didn't work. I need suggestions on what to do next.

Could be the float switch. It does 2 things, shuts the water off and then signals the control board to start. It will be a little upside down "cup", usually on the front left. Top can come off so see if it is corroded or possibly stuck.
