    Am I pregnant?
Last nov 5 I got my boyfriend precum on mouth. I then spitted it. After 30 minutes I went to have shower. While wetting my lips, the lips of my vagina was open because I did not stop washing my vagina. I'm thinking if the lips of vagina was open, can the sperm from my mouth stream down to my vagina and make me pregnant?

You most assuredly need a sex education class.

No chance at all. I don't want to be mean, but the fact that you had to ask this question means you're not ready for sex, or anything related to sex. Until you're educated on how pregnancy works, on how your body works, keep his penis far away from you or any part of you.

    Good luck.

She asked a straightforward question. People are much nicer when the question is about getting around or through layers of clothing (why, because it sounds more innocent?). And where, pray tell, is her question answered in any of the literature about sexual intercourse and getting pregnant? It isn't.

You've read all the literature about sexual intercourse and getting pregnant? That's impressive, must have taken years to get through all of it, and then hours a day to keep up with the new info being written. Very impressive achievement.

I can think of two videos, sex education videos, that describe how pregnancy works, and what's possible or not possible when it comes to sexual exploration and pregnancy, that would answer her question, it's a really easy to follow video that anyone could understand. Both easily found online, and easily accessed. One that J9 and myself have posted on this site numerous times.

It has nothing to do with sounding innocent. Those that write about dry humping with clothing on, asking if they're pregnant, get the same response from me than this poster. If you have no idea what causes pregnancy, or how pregnancy works, then you shouldn't be playing any adult games. Penis should remain in pants, as should vagina, and no sexual activity of any kind.

If you don't know that precum in your mouth will not cause pregnancy, than you're not ready to have a penis in your mouth! Even the most basic literature on pregnancy will tell you that a penis in your mouth will not result in pregnancy.

A straightforward question is one that makes sense, or is plausible. This question demands only one reply, and that reply is that this poster is obviously not educated on sex and therefore not ready to engage in sexual activity.

This was her question. I've never seen that addressed in any sex ed literature.

It's addressed in many videos as not possible. Sadly no literature or video can list the millions of ways people think they might get pregnant, that aren't possible.

It's easier to list the things that can cause pregnancy than the things that can't, because frankly there are a lot of uneducated people out there that think that having precum in their mouth and showering can cause pregnancy. There are people that think that having their underwear in the same drawer with their boyfriend, will cause pregnancy. There are a lot of misinformed people out there, and new ridiculous ideas they come up with every single day. Addressing all their questions as ludicrous is not possible, because they come up with things no one could even think to include in a book or video.

It's much easier to write how pregnancy happens, how it's possible, what you can do to make it happen, and how to prevent it, than it is to dispel everything they can and do come up with as possibilities.

So yes, you can educate yourself. There are books and videos out there explaining EVERYTHING. But if you choose to be misinformed you post questions like this on a Q & A site, a person answers your question, and then that person is told that their answer is mean because the poor person that asked it couldn't possibly know that her question was stupid, because there's no literature explaining her specific situation, because her specific situation isn't worth mentioning, because anyone with half a brain that is sexually active, should know at least this much!

    Is that clear enough?

Why are you yelling at me? Of course, common sense rules when it comes to sex, but when we were 12 or 14 or even 17, did we have common sense? Did we know all the answers? And did we have a friendly, welcoming Q&A website to go to to ask our dopey questions on?

I'm not yelling at you WG. Not at all. Where do you see yelling? How can I yell in writing?

No, when we were 12, 14, or 17 we didn't have common sense. And we weren't ready for sex at that time because we had no common sense. And that's my point. If you don't know how pregnancy works, then you're not ready to have any sexual contact at all! If you think that having his penis in your mouth, his precum, and then showering afterwards, may cause pregnancy, then you're not ready to have his penis in your mouth!

That's a clear answer, the only answer anyone should give! If you don't even know that, then you shouldn't be letting his penis anywhere near you! How is that a bad answer? How is that not a clear answer? How is telling someone that they should educate themselves before having a penis anywhere near them, a bad answer?

    Oi! I'm so done!

And now I'm yelling, in frustration.

When I first started having sex, I was pretty well informed, but I do remember how easy it was to worry about a late period, and I was on the pill when it was extremely hard to get. And I too worried about the most far fetched actions such as this, or similar. It was tough because the pill was much too strong back then, so weird symptoms were common.
Granted, I haven't looked at any videos. They didn't exist then.
I don't see how showing what does make one pregnant is all that reassuring about what can't make one pregnant.

One night I opened a can of tomato paste and it exploded at the first puncture by the can opener. It went all over my kitchen and me, including in my mouth. I rinsed out my mouth and started calling places. I got put down by ERs and the CDC 24 hour poison hotline and a friend's boyfriend, who decided to have fun and tell me for sure I had botulism (his wife ran a hospital testing lab). I was all alone and in a panic. (I no longer open tomato paste without a condom in my mouth)

I just wanted to be NICER.

Alty, you had replied right after me, quoted me, and said, "Is that clear enough?" so I decided...wrongly apparently.

At those ages, I needed a kind and gentle guide to ask my sex questions of. I needed someone who would take me seriously. I had tons of misconceptions about sex. My friends told me all sorts of old wives' tales that they too believed and gave me lots of misinformation. It's a wonder we survived our teens without becoming mothers -- or insane.

No. Any sperm would have been digested at that point and none wouldn't have made it down.

    All bickering aside...

Pregnancy is not possible in this situation.

I wasn't clear enough. This is what I meant.

All the semen in her mouth would have been swallowed/digested. Therefore there would be none to travel EXTERNALLY down the body to get near her genitals. Thought it was implied given the wording of the question.
