    My blood pressure has been high for 10 hours ten minutes ago it was 150/105 pulse 97 should I go to the ER?

    NO. This is not what ERs are for. Those readings aren't bad enough for any emergency. Call your regular doctor for a regular check up.

    Your diastolic reading, the lower number, measures the pressure in your arteries between heart beats. Given that your diastolic lower number is 105 I would recommend immediate medical attention if this has been going on for 10 hours. A diastolic lower number of 110 is considered the danger zone.

    Yes, I agree with Tickle. An ER visit is important with pressures like this. As a nurse I am required to treat systolics (the top number) greater than 160 and diastolics (the bottom number) greater than 100 (which yours is) immediately.
