    95 Civic DX not starting
Ok first off this car has almost 200,000 miles on it. Water pump/timing belt/front axles replaced within the last month and a half. While driving it I noticed it began to overheat so I pulled over and let it cool then proceeded to refill the coolant. Upon starting the car it began running extremely rough... spitting and sputtering as if were going to die. Once home we were checking the fuses, spark plugs, distributor, etc... upon pulling one of the spark plugs(the first one on the drivers side) the car dies. Tried restarting it but it would only crank and not turn over. Any ideas?? Thanks!

Sounds like a headgasket. Remove the radiator cap and fill with water/coolant.
Start the engine with the cap still off and rev engine a little.
If you have a geyser then your head gasket is definitely blown.

At 200,000 miles, I would advise against repair and go with a junkyard engine.
You could take the new belt/pump off your engine and install to the new one.

Remove all the spark plugs and look down inside the cylinders.
Do you see or smell coolant?
    Will it crank?

All of the spark plugs look fine one has some oil? Maybe around the top but inside the cylinders look fine. Don't smell coolant currently. And yes it will crank just not turn over.

    Check for spark.
Plug a spark plug into the one of the wires and rest it on the valve cover.
    Crank and check ofr spark.
If no spark - remove the distributor cap.
Take a test light and check for + voltage at each coil terminal with key in the on position (dash lights on). Hook one end of light up to battery negative.
If test light illuminates then check each terminal for pulsing ground while cranking. Hook up the test light to battery+ and probe each terminal of the coil. One of them should pulse ground. Watch out for the coil - it can shock you.
If no pulse then your ignitor is probably smoked.
If there is pulse and +voltage then coil is probably smoked.
Coils usually go bad for a reason - such as worn cap and rotor or wires or plugs.

Ok we rechecked it and there is a spark and the car is getting fuel from what we can tell. Any suggestions... the car still won't turn over... it just cranks.
