Changing a light socket in cabinet
I have a china cabinet which is over 10 years old. There are three reflector spot lights on top inside that reflect down on the items.
The one on the left burns out about every 4 months and I have to call my Handy man to replace it because the burned one gets STUCK INSIDE AND BREAKS OFF WITH PART OF IT REMAINING IN THE SOCKET. Is this a case of needing to replace the socket itself and how much would an electrician charge to do this ? The handy man uses small pliers to remove the remains. Please advise. Thanks

One reply asked what type bulb is used in my china cabinet. The bulbs are 25 Watt R-14
Reflector Spot Light, Standard Base.
The base of the bulb remains in the socket when the used bulb is removed.
Is there some type product that can be used; sprayed in the socket to avoid this ?
Handyman says rust forms inside socket and may cause this.
Any more suggestions ?
Thank You.
