Halo there. My toshiba dvd rom drive doesn't regnises any cd I put yet it was working well before. The icon is there. What could be the problem and how can I solve it?:confused:

How old is the dvd rom drive? Do you have another PC? Take out the dvd rom and try it in another computer, maybe a friend's PC. If it doesn't work, then the dvd drive is probably bad.

Maybe the lens need cleaning,if your handy with a screwdriver remove the drive from your p.c. (Remember to disconnect from the mains supply) noting the connections for when you replace it.Open it and gently clean the lens with a cotton bud soaked in cleaning alcohol.
