Will it be right to say √-36=±6i? If no then please tell why.
It is correct:
Thanks!
√-36= 6i
since -36 can be written as -1*6*6 or -1*6^2
therefoe \sqrt(-36)=\sqrt(-1*6^2)
=6\sqrt(-1)
=6i {since \sqrt(-1)=i}
