Hi I recently had to get my iud birth control taken out do to complications I've had unprotected sex since then I've had 3 faint positive pregnancy test over a few days time. Today and yesterday I've experienced some bleeding not a heavy flow it actual came and went kind of thing like in the morning then nothing else for hours then repeat. I'm thinking of going to see my doctor just want to give it time so I don't have to have a false negative test at the wrong time.. any ideas? Anyone have or know of anyone that has experience this before?

It would be wise to go to your doctor to confirm a pregnancy, especially since your test results were faint. If you are pregnant, you shouldn't get a false result at the doctor's.

Some women do have some bleeding or spotting in early pregnancy. When all is well, the bleeding won't effect the test results.

How are you doing the tests? You need to make sure that you take them and read them according to the instructions. If you don't then the possibility of getting a false positive increase. The control line shows that the test works. It has the indicator and some hormone on it. When you pee on it, it dissolves both and the control line turns the positive colour. If you leave the test too long, more then what the instructions say, then the hormone from the control will leech over to the test area and turn the indicator there faintly positive.

Make sure you're following the instructions. Maybe make an appointment for a week or two out, and take a test in a week or so. Make sure to follow the directions.
