I am needing some answers I guess I just got my first charge for a assault and was given a felony 3rd degree which the assault happened over two yrs. Ago and this yr they charged me for it. I have been on probation now for almost 8 months and just the other day I was stupid and helped a friend and was given a citation for a new charge on a misdormeanr theft which was under 150 dollars. And I have to be on probation for the next 2 and 1/2 yrs. I'm guessing that's left but I really need to know or get answers I called and left my p.o. voicemail and explained what happened and this is my first violation never been in trouble and I am 30. I currently am in college and have a 3 yr old in preschool have a husband that's waiting for his interview for his green card for here and I had to go do this stupid mistake. I already severed 38 days and had 21 good days in jail for my felony charge. I have did and completed what I need for the probation and still currently in counsleing still.

From your other comments-"college, child, green card etc", the sympathy factor may not work. What do you want the law to do, forget it?

Sorry.. the sob stories won't help you (you wouldn't have committed EITHER offense if you really cared yourself)... and yes you've been in trouble before or you wouldn't be on probation so its not the first time. That's two you've been caught at.

They can and might revoke you and put you in jail, that's NOT a small "mistake". That's up to the Judge.

I would say you will very likely have your probation revoked and be held in jail for a hearing. It will then be up to a judge if they wish to put you back on probation or not.

This was not a "mistake" but a choice you made to help steal something.

I would save all your questions for an attorney because judges seldom show mercy on offenders who make stupid second mistakes. It's a bigger mistake to face a judge without one.
