    Not getting my period
Hello I 42 and I have not received my period in about 3 or four months occasionally during these months I have been spotting and I think I could be through menopause but it is not in my genes and the recently I have been diagnosed with having thyroid nodules which are not big. I am having them monitored. I do not know what to do. I am too young for menopause could I have something else. I also have two small fibroids and I have a dull backache on my left loved side. I sometimes feel like I am going to get my period and then I don't get it. Please help me maybe it is menopause but it could be something else.

At 42 you most certainly AREN'T too young... I know several women your age that have had (menopause) it and one in her late 30's.

Younger than normal... yes... unheard of... far from it. but it usually takes a year or more and your period is likely to come and go irregularly during it... and you aren't officially through it until after you have been free of periods for one year.

42 is not too young for menopause. It's possible you are beginning to go through peri menopause. A visit to your doctor to check your hormone levels will tell you for sure.
