Kenmore washing machine does not spin
I have a model 11.20422990 washing machine and it will not spin. I can hear a loud noise that sounds like the motor might not be working. I would appreciate if someone could give me some advice or a great website. Thanks:)

As I told someone else, mine is doing a similar thing and it will only spin on the heavy duty cycle. Maybe that will work for you? I'm still looking for a solution.

Does it agitate? If not you may have a bad motor coupling. It would still drain. The motor coupling is between the motor and transmission. If it does agitate then you may have a worn tub block. This is located by removing the agitator and the inner tub. The inner tub is supported by the block. The block has two slots in it at 180 degs apart. The slots mesh to two ears on the shaft on which it is sitting. If you need the tub block, also check those two ears on the shaft (this is called the basket drive assembly. If they are worn, you may need to replace that too, but usually it is just the block.
