    Probation Violation
    I am trying to find out if the state of TN has a statue of limintations on probation violators? I have heard that TN has stop the statue of limintations on probation violators.

    Hello Roscoe:

    There never was a statute of limitations on probation violators. When one violates probation a warrant is issued, and the warrant never expires.

    Yes, SOL for criminal offenses only occur from the time the crime occurs to the time the person is charged with the crime. For probation violation, once you are violated, a warrant is issued, Warrants stay valid till you are arrested and brought before the court.
