I'm HCV positive.

I have genotype 1A, my enzymes (ALT & AST and double normal, my platlets are 156 and have been falling slowly over the last ten years, I have moderate fibrosis (Fibroscan reading is 8.6, although I am not at all sure fibroscans are a reliable indicator of mild/moderate fibrosis reading). My viral loading is usually around 1.8 to 2 million IU/ltr).

No one here can help with your diagnosis. If you are not getting answers, then change doctors.

Good thing to discuss with your doctor. Depending on your medical coverage, there are new drugs but $$$$. Harvoni is one.
