ETG urine test @ orange country court district
Hi Dr. Bill, so glad to run into this site at 4am last night. I am a chronic drinker 8-10 beers daily including a few vodka shots. Doing this for years (chronic depression)

Got a DUI and now subjected to DUI court instead of jail.

My last alcohol night was this thu aug 20th. I slept at 10pm, have not drank since then.

My test is Monday 10am aug 24. I calculated I am about 82 till then. Any idea about my chances of passing it.

Any help in this matter is truly appreciated by my family friends and myself.

Dr. Bill is no longer answering questions on this site or any other.

Face the truth. "Chronic drinker" = alcoholic.

After about 96 hours you should pass. But how long will it take before you pop dirty? Maybe it's time to get yourself into treatment.

Once I quit. It's done. Staying strong 2nd day and good from now on. How did you figure out 96?

I noticed I also use alcohol deodorant and mouthwash. I use hand sanitizer a lot. Everyday. Will they also consider this in case I fail

No, they won't consider this if you fail. You are required to refrain from all alcohol. That means it's time to read labels.

Those are no excuse... or get out of jail card. Those can fail you and they really don't care for excuses, or explanations, they have heard all the stories so many times nobody believes any of them.. A fail is a fail. It is upon you to carefully identify and avoid alcohol containing products and switch to alcohol free formulations.

Start buying alcohol free deodorant and start using soap and water. But not just those but other products too, medications, etc....Yes its extra work...but consider the alternative for failing.

I completely understand your answers and I truly appreciate it. I pleaded guilty Friday (stopped thu)so I guess my biggest question is by law even if I was drinking before I pleaded guilty. I was allowed to. Wouldn't anyone who gets a first test turn out dirty? My first appointment with the PO is an orientation (thats why they said) are they going to test me right away? I just got rid of all alcoholic house hold, deos, other stuff and got everything alcohol free.

My answer came across a bit harsher than it seemed when I wrote it. But I was trying to stress the importance of knowing everything you use or consume in your situation. They are going to test you right away.. and at random intervals when they are going to give you fairly little notice. THe intent is to catch people who are continuing to use.

Do seriously check into some sort of program (though it may be required)... be it AA or some other. Stopping cold turkey will take a lot of willpower and they can offer many ways to stay sober as well as support you will need at times. They are definitely worth your time.
