I want to build a hybrid electric motorcycle that would use a generator to power super capacitors, which in turn would power a motor controller and a motor. Could such a setup work? What would be its limitations and disadvantages?

Can it work ? Sure. But the problem is that on a motorcycle you have very limited space. There are many motorcycles on the market today that are electric. Maybe look at those and try to see where yours is going to be different. But to run the generator your going to need something to power it in the first place.

Ideally, I'd like to use compressed air or high-test hydrogen peroxide to power the generator. However, a small gas engine seems more practical.
