Late period, bleeding, no clots. What could this be?
Hi I have been using a period tracker to track my periods and they normally range between 26-28 days. My period was 4 days late this month being (32) days and then I began to have a light bleeding which goes to moderate. It went from pink to a bright red and watery. I have not had any clots. This is day 2 of this. My cramps are on and off and range from really light to strong. What could this be?

Could just be a wonky period. Is there a chance of pregnancy? What has life been like lately? Illnesses? Stress? etc. There is probably a reason, but it might just be: It's one of those periods.

There is always a possibility, I haven't used birth control in a year now because it messed up my cycle. Since then it has been pretty normal. No illnesses, stress, or anything. I have been pretty happy lately. Its not consistent bleeding but its going on day 2 now and I normally always have clots but there hasn't been any at all.

Birth control should not "mess up" a cycle, but actually regulate it. (birth control pills)

Only the morning after pill would often "mess up" a cycle but that is only for emergency use, not regular use.

Four days, while may seem "late" is not really late, and it sounds more just like a late period. But assuming it is not, wait about 2 weeks and try a pregnancy test.
