Can I get pegnant after coming off the pill?
I just stopped taking the pill on the 7th and my period came on on the 12th. Will I be able to get pregnant this month or will I have to wait a while before I get pregnant. Chances wise. That was the only month I took because pills.

There is absolutely zero way to give 'chances.' Each woman is different, and results vary widely.
That's different from 'can' you get pregnant. Yes. You can get pregnant even taking the pill.
So that makes this doubly impossible to answer.

There is no way to know whether you will conceive this month. It can take average healthy couples up to a year or more of actively trying before conception occurs. Try not to stress out if you don't get pregnant as quickly as you want to. Give nature time.

Thank you. I meant if it was possible as in chances because a lot of couples cant get pregnant right away. I wanted to know if it diminished my chances further. Sorry for the confusion.

We both knew what you mean. What we mean is that there is so much variation in chances, diminished or not, that it's meaningless to give any range of numbers. Taking birth control pills for one month or several months is only one of countless factors that go into a woman's chances of getting pregnant.

Once you are off the pills, then really the past pills do not really affect. But as noted, it all depends on ovulation dates and timing sex around those dates.

There isn't a hormone build up when using oral contraceptives. Trust me my wife and myself can prove that. Theoretically you will be at your "normal" fertility level once you're off the pill. That being said there are a few things you need to consider. The first is that your body needs to start self-regulating your cycle now that you're off the pill. This can take a while, a couple months. As well please realize that even perfectly fertile couples can take a while to get pregnant. Sometimes it can take over a year.

There is a series of events that need to occur in a specific order. Sometimes everything lines up, and sometimes not so much. So you could be off your pill, ovulating, and your partner could be the Sperm King, and it could take months to conceive.

    Good luck.
