Good night. My boyfriend is concerned that I only got pregnant once a year. Last year feb and this past April. I usually had an irregular period so I didn't find it that alarming but he wants to make sure nothing is wrong with me. Unfortunately I lost both babies and we're trying again. But he thinks we won't succeed until next year September or something. Is it really that weird?

If your cycles are irregular, it will decrease the number of chances for you to become pregnant. For example, a woman who has a regular period each month is most likely also ovulating each month. If someone has irregular periods, only 5 a year for example, she may only ovulate before those periods, in which case she would have fewer opportunities for pregnancy to occur. You can only become pregnant when you are ovulating.

Have you discussed your irregular cycles with your gynecologist? Sometimes a simple remedy can be used to help regulate your cycles, which would increase odds for pregnancy.

Your boyfriend has no clue and is totally wrong. You can get pregnancy any month that you ovulate.

After two losses I would certainly look into it further. I would think this less about when you get pregnant than carrying a child to full term once you get pregnant.
