    Tampon won't go in?
I am so worried that I cannot get a tampon in. I have tried for years now every time it just goes up a bit then stops it won't go up anymore and it really hurts when I push it up. I am a virgin so maybe its because I haven't broken the skin but I feel like there is something blocking it. Also I am scared for when I have sex in the future will a penis go up there? How could it if a tampon cant?

Are you following the directions on the package? You have to be relaxed and bent forward from the waist a bit to create the best angle so the tampon goes into a straight "tunnel." And is there enough lubrication on the tampon? The ones with a plastic sleeve slide in much easier than do the ones in a cardboard sleeve. Otherwise, go to a gynecologist or your primary-care doctor to find out if something is blocking the tampon's progress.

I couldn't get a tampon in when I was a virgin. Even though a bunch of classmates held the door on a bathroom for what seemed like forever.

I'm just a dumb guy, but what's wrong with using pads?

Pads are bulky and get very smelly very fast.

That makes sense, but don't females start practicing what to do at the onset of the menstrual cycle (puberty)? How does a female get to 20 and not have years of experience with such a common thing?

    Nope.
And in many countries, getting to 20 is quite common with no help at all, not even from mothers, who may have never used a tampon themselves.
