If my husband is upset and I can tell he clearly is, I'll ask him whats wrong. The only answer I get is "nothing" with the silent treatment. How do I help him open up with his feelings?

Give him his space and talk to him about it at a later time. Or wait until you guys are in bed when he should be more relaxed. He may be more willing to discuss his issues at that time. Men do not understand the concept of opening up there feelings espcially when they are ticked off at that moment. You have to get them when they are nice and mellow.
Just a suggestion.
Maybe write him a letter expressing your concern.Quote:

Leave him alone. If you hound him and pressure him to answer you. He is going to clam up even more. Best advice is to approach it differently. If for some reason there is something wrong just let him know that your there and that whenever he is ready to open up or talk about it you will be there. No pressure.
