Wiring 2 separate lights with switches
Hi. Ive reached a snag. I have my hot source running into light. From here it spreads.
    1. to a bedroom switch then to a light.
    2. it runs to another two lights to and a switch controlling the stair lights.

My question is... I'd like to add a switch to the first light but not sure how I do that and allow the other bedroom light and 2. to still work? Secondly, witch regards to 2. I'd like to connect a switch to the two lights without affecting the switch to the stairs... hope this isn't a confusing confusing way of explaining...

Why not just tell us what you would like to do. Just describe what you have now and what you would like to have. Maybe we can tell you how to do it.

Adding switches to circuits is not complicated and if done properly will not have any effect on downstream connections.

First, I suggest you sketch out what you have and then what you want.

Light #1 - is this light controlled by a pull chain or does it already have a switch controlling it and you want to add a second switch?

    Light #2 - Same question.
