    Pregnant or not?
Hi, I am taking birth control pills and have been since February. I've never missed a day never since I started I have never missed any days.My period is regular and comes on time. But I am very worried, me and my boyfriend had sex on sometime in July I'm not sure what date, but I was on the pill my period came on on Saturday July 18th and it always comes on Saturday. But when it ended on Thursday, I forgot to take my pill on time that day, but when I got home I took it right away. I'm supposed to take it between the hours of 6:30am and 9:00am on the same day everyday. I got home and took it around 2:15 that same day. But I am very worried. If you don't mind giving me answers. Please help

Even IF you didn't forget its still possible. No form of birth control is 100% effective. I know several women who have gotten pregnant despite using more than one form concurrently. One of them more than once.

Is all statistics... not everyone does or will... only a certain percentage will. In fact most won't. But the chance is always there for every sexually active female between the age of puberty until the end of menopause.

First, you have to stop saying always and never. Your periods won't always be regular. They won't always come on a Saturday (good grief!) Saying you never got pregnant so far is meaningless.

Second, try not to worry so much. You took your pill within a reasonable time range. Set up a routine for taking the pills that is a ritual - an exact time and event, such as going to bed or brushing your teeth.

Third, learn about morning after and 72 hour pills and what clinics have them, and how to test yourself with HPTs (home pregnancy tests, available at drug stores).

ANY WOMAN WHO HAS SEX NEEDS TO BE WELL INFORMED.

Was the sex before your period or after? Pregnancy would be unlikely either way, slightly more possible if it were to happen when you were a bit late on your pill.

Try not to worry; all you can do now is see what happens when you are due for your next period.

Before and my period came the following week like it was supposed too. But then once my period ended I didn't have sex and haven't for a week now. But the last time I did was on July 9 and my period came the time it was supposed to on July 18 that Saturday I was just late by a couple hours when it needed to be taken during the time frame

Since you had a regular period after the sex, and being a bit late on taking your pill happened after that, you wouldn't get pregnant because of it.

It is possible to become pregnant even when taking birth control pills always on time, but it's not common.
