I am having problems with my computer locking up when visiting a number of web sites. The browser will take me to the site and then simply once reaching the site lock up and I will have to perform a CTL ALT DEL operation to get out of the site and back to the main browser. Can anybody help me with this problem? Suggestions?

Ensure ALL updates have been applied to your system.
Is this just one browser or do you get the same with different ones ??

Thanks for your reply Curlyben. I try to update my computers as regularly as possible. This is happening on a number of browsers so I am figuring a computer problem not a browser problem? It is my laptop and not doing it on my desktop. Any ideas? Thanks for your prompt reply by the way :).

Completely clear your cache as well.

Install new browser and check if you have the same problem. I think installing Firefox will solve your problem.
