Water pipe making noise when shower faucet is turned off
Why do the water pipes make noise when the faucet is turned off quickly.

    Hi Keith

It could simply be a case of closing the valve to quickly... will cause what appears to be water hammer sounds, but isn't... just closed the valve fast and the quick close caused the pipes to vibrate/rattle a bit. Try not closing the valve quickly and see if that solves the issue.

If the issue persists, you may have a water hammer issue, but true water hammer will usually show up at multiple valves in the home (or bathroom).

    Questions? Let me know, OK?
