No high power to ice maker in maytag refrigerator
I have a maytag refrigerator mod.#MFF2258VEB4 with no high voltage going to the ice maker. Does power come from power cord or through some other circuit.I cannot find any information on this problem.

Almost all icemakers in refrigerators are made by one or two companies, so they are the same. You have a receptacle behind the icemaker that a four-prong power supply/control plugs into it. There is a hot wire (Black), a neutral (white),water valve (brown), and a ground (green). You will see the wiring diagram on page 8 in the manual "Whirlpool Icemaker Ice Dispenser" and this book describes how almost all icemakers in refrigerators work. You should be able to easily trace the wires down to the water valve and on to where the other ones connect. You will need a good meter and know how to use it, which is easy.
