I'm a 23 year old female, I have uterine fibroids. I have a boyfriend of a year and several months now and we are sexually active and do not use any form of contriception. My menstrual cycle always on point. 28days average period length is about 6 days. Except last month it was 3 days long. Very bright red but not heavy. This month my period is due 7/20/15 but on 7/15/15 I had clear cervical mucus with tiny bright red spotting, scanty kind of. Which only came at that one moment when I wiped. After that no blood no spotting nothing. Than yesterday 7/17/15 I thought I was starting to flow, but yet again it was just a light pink- bright orange-ish color which lasted a few hours please help? Idont know what is causing this. I took a home pregnancy test and it was negative.

See what happens when your period is actually due. Give it a bit of time to see if it is just late, and, if still no period, try another test. Spotting midcycle can be due to a fluctuation of hormones (for various reasons), on occasion ovulation, and sometimes implantation.

While some women can test when period is due, many need to be one or two week late to properly test. Time to just wait and see.
