    With the proliferation of computers, this type of work has basically dried up. Too many people own or have access to a computer for them to pay someone else to do it. Almost every worker has a PC on their desks nowadays. Separate depts of typists working on word processors are a thing of the past.

    What you might try is training for medical transcriptions. Many doctors and some hospitals still farm out this work.
