    Diversion Drug Testing?
    Hello,

I am currently doing diversion for a non-violent, non-drug related crime in Ohio.
For my diversion to be completed, I must complete community service and take a class. I also report to a telephone system once a month to answer basic questions like if I have been in trouble with the law again. I met with my probation officer at the beginning of the diversion program to sign that I agree with the conditions, and we did not schedule to meet again.

During my court date and meeting with the probation officer, submitting to random drug testing was never brought up. So my question is, will I be called in to be drug tested during my diversion. Also, is my situation active or inactive probation?

    Thanks you!

Assume they will call you in at some point for a random test. Should be easy to do if you have no substance abuse problems. You have your butt covered that way.

It is often common policy to test everyone, at least once or twice during a diversion program, They will tell you to report, when you call in. And almost always when you are ready to finish program.

I also report to a telephone system once a month. That would probably be considered Active.

Then review the agreement that you signed, to see what it says about random drug testing. You did keep a copy, didn't you?
