Is it possible to grow silver crystals that are actually bonded to the cathode/a substrate?

I have grown crystals (using silver nitrate solution, a battery, resistor, and fine silver wires for anode and cathode) but have only produced crystals that easily fall off. Was wondering if there are any alternative methods that would produce silver crystals that adhere to the base on which they are grown?
