I loaded the washing machine with too many clothes and its not spinning. I tried reducing load, still doesn't work. Please help!

Is there any odd smell coming from the washing machine? I am wondering if you've burnt out the motor. What style/model is your washing machine?

Depending on the make and model, it could be a broken coupler between motor and transmission.
