    2 switches with 2 lights
I know how to wire 2 switches with 2 lights, however I need a special wiring. Switches will be named A and B, and lights 1 and 2.

Basically what I need is for Switch A to open/close light 1 only, and Switch B to open/close light 1 and 2.

It should work in a way that even if Switch A is open, that if Switch B is closed, light 1 won't open.

    Thank you

Thanks for the response but I don't think it would work how I want. I might be mistaken, but in this diagram, if switch A is open, and switch B is closed.. light 1 will be on?I explained badly in my first post. What I would like is if I close switch B that both 1 and 2 are closed (regardless of the switch position on A) and in the same time, if switch B is open that I can still close light 1 with switch A.Thanks so much for your help

You have it backwards. If a switch is closed the light will be on. If a switch is open then nothing happens.

There is no off and on to a 3-way switch. Therefore we must talk about positions.

Let's say that if switch A is in the up position light, light A will burn, light B will not burn. If switch A is in the down position and switch B is in the off position no light will burn.
If switch B is in the on position both lights A and B will burn regardless of the position of switch A.

This is the problem. To simplify my question I said that it was 2 lights, but in reality, it is a Pool Salt system (light 1) and a Pool pump (light 2).

I cannot have the Salt system (light 1) running if the pool pump (light 2) is not running. It would damage the cell. But I also need to be able to shut down the salt system (light 1) but to keep the pump (2) running

    Would this new diagram work?

    Thank you
