23 Year old female -- had spinal tap Friday -- 2 days now very constipated - OTC stool oftener and suppository provided no relief. Is there any fast and effective treatment??

Try an enema, whether using a bag and adding warm water and soap or oil, or a prepared enema in a bottle.

You may be feeling more constipated than you are because of sensitive nerves, and you may have temporarily stopped peristalsis. Your best bet is to eat almost nothing until the 'shock' from the spinal goes away.

Everyone is different. A spinal didn't make me constipated, but I couldn't go at all once for 18 days when a lower spinal nerve was in intense pain. I lived on chicken broth.
