Installing an old light fixture in a new house.
The light fixture has only two wires.

There are two switches on the wall, one for the light and one for a ceiling fan.

As for the ceiling, there are 4 wires, one black, one white, one red, and a ground.

How should I attach the wires?

Connect white to white, black to black. Cap red with wire nut. Bare wire will be connected to ceiling box if the box is metal. It will not be connected to the light. Just push it up out of the way.
