Is there any law about rent increase statement made in an email?
    Hi,

Back in February, I asked my landlord's office about how much the increase in rent would be to rent again when the lease ends. They emailed me back saying 5% and listed the exact price. I have been emailing back and forth in regards to setting up the new lease and just decided on a day to go in and see the lease. Then, today she emails me saying that they want a 15% increase. Is there any law in regards to them emailing me in Feb saying that it would only be 5%?

I would assume it depends on the state you live in. That does sound like allot.
You could try to make the case that you had a verbal contract, but id the landlords don't hold up to their deal all you can really do is sue because they didn't give you enough time to find a new place. If nothing else they should let you live there another month or two until you find a new place. Even if there were law they would be civil laws and those are hardly worth the paper they are printed on.

In general email agreements can be found valid, so if you have a copy of the original email, you may be able to hold them to it,
