Absolutely. There is a chance of pregnancy every time you have sex. Generally speaking, the odds that you were ovulating during the first day of your period are low, but sperm lives for several days inside of the body, making pregnancy a possibility if you were to ovulate during the period when you still have live sperm in your body.
I get the sense that another pregnancy isn't what you want, and not using a reliable birth control method is a count down to your next pregnancy. (Birth control can and does fail, but your odds are reduced dramatically with consistent and correct usage). Please see your doctor or a local clinic regarding birth control if you do not want another child.
I will agree, it is not very likely. It deals with when you ovulate, and timing issues. There is just no way to know, till your next cycle is due.
