What happens if an illegal immigrant in Canada is not caught and after 5 years is applying for an ID and Passport to enter the United States? What is the process and how long will it take?

Why would they be entitled to an ID and passport when they are an illegal not matter how long they have gotten away with it.

I know people that have been legal residents of Canada for over 30 years that aren't entitled to a Canadian Passport because they aren't Canadian Citizens.

Passports are ONLY ever issued to legal CITIZENS of the issuing country.

If the illegal Immigrant does not possess a social insurance number, that would be a big red flag if they attempted to apply for a CDN passport. Therefore no process. They would be caught and deported.

They will most likely be taken into custody as an illegal and face being deported.

They can not get a passport unless they are a citizen.
