    Grab bar leak follow up
I posted a question over the w/e about a leaking grab bar in our fiberglass shower and it was suggested we caulk to repair it. Thanks much for the help and one more ques. If no one minds, should we cut an access panel behind to repair from behind it? Is the shower side enough or do both?

I would try it without cutting in a access panel but If you can get behind the bolts on the grab it would be a good idea to loosen the bolts and Run caulk in the hole before you tighten them back up. Probably not necessary but good insurance. Good luck, Tom

If you did not use silicone caulk it probably will not hold. Does the bar still move?
