The door to the dishwasher will not close. There are no obstructions. I've unloaded the washer and tried and it still will not close. I don't know what to do. Can you offer a suggestion?

Close or lock? Many Kenmore's have a thin lockplate that extends into the door frame. Look to see if it is aligned properly and make sure the door isn't hitting the cabinet frame.
