Copying large video files on cd
I had downloaded a very large video file approx 867MB and now I want to copy it onto a CD. But I get messages like file is too large / file too long / cannot record more than 74 minutes, etc. Please tell me how to copy the file on cd? Or how can I make a video cd of this file? Or how can I make a video cd in 2 CDs?

You can try making a VCD using your burner software. You can try compressing the file to fit on a CD. You can try using a file splitter to break up the file into smaller components

There are CD Burning softwares with over burning feature which will help you to do it on one CD.

867MB is still to large for overburning (that maxes out at a little over 710MB). You'd have to compress it as Scott said (time consuming) or buy a DVD burner.

Please read what NeedKarma has told about overburning. There are CDs with different capacities and I dont know which one is available with you. Some markets are selling even 99 minute CDs. However if you would like to know more about overburning go through the below link.

Oh dear, you shouldn't ever go to a site with a misplaced apostrophe in the title :p

867mb is too big for a cd. You will need to put it on a dvd, or you need to recode it. A very easy to use program is Nero Vision. It comes with the Nero CD/DVD burning rom suite.

I'd buy a DVD Writer, they are very cheap these days - I just bought a new one online for £17 (about $35).
