And that's considered a violent felony? I think there is more to his story than you have related. And stealing merely one case of beer would seldom be considered a felony; the violence must have been a significant part of the crime. How much beer did he take?Quote:

He can get a passport, that is more an international ID, and the US will allow him to leave the country.
Where he can go, is by a nation and nation choice, and will depend upon the actual crime done.
If stealing the beer, included beating someone, or having a gun when he stole the beer? Merely stealing a beer is shoplifting.
