    Kitchen Sink running over
What would cause water to fill from the drain of a kitchen sink in 4th floor apart?

There is a blockage below your KS drain and your KS drain must connect with the other unit(s) above. This could potentially cause a flood in your home so should be resolved ASAP. To resolve this the drain line will need to be snaked clear.

In an apartment building you should report this condition to the building manager immediately.
