I am a permanent resident of the US, and my husband (US citizen) would like to open a savings account in my native country, the Netherlands. Are there any restrictions to this? I am imagining same tax laws apply, if any? Any insightful information much appreciated!

Many people have overseas bank account, The bank itself my have rules, but as with any account, interest and the such are reportable as income.
