Should I caulk the rubber gasket in my transitional coupling installed on a vertical ABS to Metal drain pipe? There is a slight seepage at the ends of the rubber gasket, and even though it might have been installed when the house was built in 1973 - the rubber feels like it's still tactile (not brittle, or hardened) so I'd like to avoid having to wrestle-on a new rubber gasket. If so, what type of caulk should I use?
