Differences between basicity and alkalinity?
Google is your friend. To answer this question you must understand PH
See, basicity is the term linked with acids.
The acids have the tendency to release hydronium ions i.e H+ ions in water. After releasing the hydronium ions, the acid becomes a base which we generally call as conjugate base of an acid.
Now, alkalinity is the term related to bases. The bases which can dissolve in water and release OH- ions (hydroxide ions) are called alkaline substances.
