Is there a chance I will text positive for ETg?
Okay, so on Thursday I had several glasses of wine throughout the day. 8-9 standard glasses... nothing after 8pm. I took a UA at 330pm the following Monday, more than 90 hours after last drink. Is there a chance I will text positive for ETg? I exercise, drink a lot of fluids, eat healthy, am female 5'9" & 150lbs.

Thank you so much! Look forward to hearing from someone!

You should be okay unless 8/9 glasses of wine is your everyday routine. Normally in 3 or 4 days alcohol should be clear of your system, but not if you are a heavy drinker for extended periods.

Thanks for the reply; prior to Thursday I didn't have a sip of alcohol since August. So, this was a rare event to celebrate a friends birthday, and not a common occurrence. Thank you again!

    EtG detection for alcohol
Okay so I am getting tested for a federal job - didn't know it. I drank 6/7 glasses of wine Thursday for my birthday, ending at 7pm. On Saturday, I drank 3/4 of a bloody Mary at 2pm. My test is today, Monday at 4pm. What are the chances it will be positive for EtG? I've read 80 hours is exceptional... that one drink is clear of EtG in less than 24. Does anyone have any real insight based on experience?

    Thank you!

So... you drink heavily on Thursdays... and didn't learn from the last time? You don't have job application testing popped on your as a surprise...you know they are coming well in advance. Then you had the other earlier this month. Something isn't adding up.

What is adding up is a lot of wine being consumed!

What's the difference to you anyway? I'm asking a question; if you want to judge that's of no consequence to me. Why shouldn't matter to you. But thanks for the comment. I've gotten the info I need.

And yes Thursdays I spend with friends. It's my day off... I didn't know I would have another test, as it's for a civilian position in the military command. Why they such scheduled two is also questionable to me. Regardless, I came here for the info; not the 3rd degree.

You get "the 3rd degree" because it seems, based on your questions, as though you are lying. Earlier you said you haven't drank since August...now it appears to be a routine and you keep running into "surprise" testing. Just seems as though you are lying to us. So anyway, the best way to avoid these surprise tests would be to avoid putting yourself in the position to fail them in the first place.

I haven't drank since august; it was for medical reasons. Now I am clear to drink because I am no longer on the strong medications. I am applying for a job that requires testing. What is so difficult to understand here? And who are you all to question it anyway. If you don't know the answer to my question, move on to entomology and plumbing questions! It's interesting how invested you get in other people's issues... facts are facts and I am presenting them honestly, even if they don't make sense to you. Again, thanks for the input. You clearly like to troll, and fail to be helpful. Carry on...

Gee... guess we caught the troll. I wasn't born yesterday. Six of my last seven jobs required a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening... four of the seven was subject to random workplace testing. Actually its very common today so NOBODY gets their panties in a knot like you if you wasn't hiding something... because we asked legitimate questions. If you wanted a real answer that is reasonably accurate then answer our questions....and cut the attitude. The planet doesn't revolve around you, and we will be here long after you are gone...answering people who actually show respect for others that help them. Which thankfully is most of them.

Oh...and good luck...you will need it. Lots of it.

Hey, you're the one that wants to put your stuff out here on a PUBLIC board...anyone can answer. And really...is the entomology and plumbing remark supposed to upset us? There are many experts here that know way more than just their assigned areas. But anyway, that all is beside the point. You're the one coming here making statements and asking questions and then getting uppity about it...so tell me, who is trolling? Seems like it's you because you simply don't like your answers.

Here is how it works out...You MAY pass...it's possible....but there is no way for us to know because there are way too many variables here. 6/7 glasses of wine, 3/4 of a bloody mary, no real time frames, no idea of what the cut-off level for the test is...how can anyone know with such little information? You don't give us real amounts for anything, just approximations....so all we can do is guess. I guess you will pass.

Have fun, see you next week when you ask again.
