I have a marathon MR50245A hot water heater and its not getting hot. We replaced both thermostats and then the upper heating element. It got hot and worked for a day and now its not working again. What could the problem be?

Do you know how to test the thermostats and elements? Have you checked the main breaker? Why did you change things? Was the tank filled BEFORE you turned on the heater?
